We guarantee there will be no kids hanging out in the hallways. We do not tolerate food fights nor do we allow kids to make figurines from candle wax.

Our Disc Jockeys and Emcees will keep them so busy and having so much fun that they won't have time to run around.

We also guarantee we'll make your child's Bar or Bat Mitzvah the one their friends and your friends will talk about. Everyone will shine. And we promise not to forget about the adults...

Consultation
We will get to know your family in a free consultation. At that time, we'll listen to your concerns and address them. We'll even put in our two cents. Here's a Questionnaire that will help customize your party.

Cocktail Hour - "Our Bonding Hour"
Our Emcee and Disc Jockey use this time to get acquainted with the young adults. While the adults are mingling, our professionals keep them occupied by playing games and their favorite tunes. Black Tie DJ Entertainment 's Rule #1: Make sure the kids like us and that we become their friends. Rule #2: Make sure we always think one step ahead of the kids and be well organized. 

Sequence of Events
In case you were curious, here is the general sequence of events at a Bar or Bat Mitzvah:

  • High energy Grand Entrance of the family of Bar-Mitzvah Boy or Bat-Mitzvah Girl
  • High energy Grand Entrance of the Boy or the Girl
  • The Hora…with or without chair
  • Havdallah (if party is held after Shabbat)
  • Ha Motzi
  • The Meal
  • Candle lighting Ceremony***(see song selections below)

Between each activity, we are entertaining guests with music, follow-a-long dances and games.

Music
Tradition! Tradition! We think it's important to play Hebrew music at the Mitzvah. Of course the extent of how music is up to your discretion. We recommend starting the reception off with a high-energy introduction of your child (with or without family members). We'll go right into our own version of a "Hava Nagilah Medley".

Our disc jockeys are well trained about specific types of Jewish songs. Our library consists of Klezmer, Hassidic, Ashkenazi ("Davide Melech Yisrael" , "Tzena-Tzena"), Sephardic ("Linda Linda", "Rona Sheli") and Israeli Folk music ("Mayim Mayim", "Miserlou").

As far as American music goes, we offer the latest and the greatest music. 

Nothing But Good 'Ol Fun and Games
Believe us when we tell you that your child knows exactly what games to play and the ones that their friends are sick and tired of playing. For this reason, we have created a slew of innovative and challenging games that we've patented. Of course, we always can coordinate the following classic games as well:

  • Trivia - Battle of the Sexes

Dancers
High-energy, friendly dancers are a must! They motivate your guests to take an active part in the Bat or Bat Mitzvah. These guys and gals teach them the latest dance steps, lead the follow-a-long dances and add excitement to the party. 

Lighting
60% of the Bar or Bat Mitzvahs that we book use our ambience lighting. And that's only because the other 40% are held during the day. In other words, it's vital to have lighting at your party. Just ask your kid. Call or email for quotes.

Other Services
Would you to have a candy maker at your party? We have relationships with many party vendors who offer FUN services.

Considering having a slide show or video montage of your child's life? Our multi-media presentation is well worth the effort and price and has been known to provoke some 'aahhh's', 'ohhhh's' and 'heehee's!

Packages
BLACK TIE DJ ENTERTAINMENT Bar and Bat Mitzvah packages are designed to simplify your life. They include a personal consultation with your DJ and/or your MC, where your options will be explained to you. In addition, the consultation's purpose is get to know your child and your family and discover the vision for your party. All packages include interactive games and dances. Your MC will finalize the details and your DJ will finalize all music requests, two weeks prior to your party. All packages are based on a four hour time period. Overtime charges are per hour. All packages include travel, set-up and breakdown. Extra charge is added for travel over 50 miles or for difficult load-ins.

"Mazel Tov!"
This plan is perfect if you are expecting to invite a maximum of 30 young adults. You'll get two entertainers in this package: one MC and one DJ.

"What A Party!"
Three entertainers take control of your party in this plan: one DJ, one MC and one Dancer/Party Motivator. This is recommended for any Bar/Bat Mitzvah with over 30 young adults. We'll include the small lighting package that will add to the party atmosphere (neon giveaways go great with this!).

"This House Is Rockin'"
This is the same as the "What A Party" package EXCEPT we added one more Dancer/Party Motivator to our crew of entertainers. It's a total of four people, watching out for your party. It's perfect for more than 80 kids, a lot of interactive games and a candle-lighting ceremony.

"More, More, More" (Add-ons and Fun Stuff!)
Most of our clients want to add elements that will enhance their overall Bar and Bat Mitzvah experience. We've compiled a list of things that do that. The "A La Carte" items are the following:

--Dance Floor Lighting Package (includes one mirror ball and 1 colored light with shapes and lasers), which will enhance the mood for dancing! - 350.
--Intelligent Lighting Package - Computer controlled lighting that takes lighting that takes lighting to another level! These colored lights form patterns and shapes that transform any room into a party extravaganza!
Small package - (1) Laptop computer with Elation software to run the lights; (1) Lighting Technician; (4) Mighty Scans. - 800.
Large package - (1) Laptop computer with Elation software to run the lights; (1) Lighting Technician; (4) Mighty Scans; (2) Mini Macs; (4) Elation Sparkles; (1) AMDJ chase controller; (4) Odyssey Ripples; (2) Opti-Pars with DMX controller; (2) 10ft. Triangular Truss. - 1,400.

Fun Stuff:
--Photo Guest Book - This brings new meaning to the usual "sign the mat around my child's picture as you come in". When your guests arrive, they'll have their picture taken. They'll take that picture to a table where they'll have their own "personal" page to decorate. Kids absolutely love it because they can be creative and it keeps them occupied during the cocktail hour. We compile all the pages into a beautiful keepsake for your child. - 600.
--Confetti Launch - Perfect for Grand Entrance of the Bar or Bat Mitzvah Adult! - 50. for one launch, - 75. for two launches..
--Dancers / Guest Motivators - Add another performer or two to engage your guests in having a good time! - 350. per dancer (up to four hours).
--Other party entertainers such as Caricature Artists, Henna Tatoo Artists, Tarot Card Readers, etc. are available upon request.
